The Touchables is a song written by The Human League and included on their 1980 album Travelogue. It was recorded at Monumental Studios, Sheffield and produced and engineered by The Human League and Richard Manwaring.

Content and lyrics[]

The title of the song almost certainly comes from the 1968 British feature film of the same name, which would have been known to The Human League at the time. The film recounts the story of a fictitious rock star who is kidnapped by four female fans.[1] It is not clear whether there is any connection with the lyrics of the song with the subject of the film however.

Versions and availability[]

There is only one officially recorded version of the song.

The track is available on the original Travelogue album release and successive CD releases in 1988 and 2003.
