I Am the Law is possibly one of the first tracks written after the group split in 1980. The lyrics refer to the comic strip character Judge Dredd.
Versions and availability[]
There song was originally included as the second track of side two of Dare, after Get Carter and immediately segueing into Seconds, and appears on all re-issues of the album.
An 'early version' is included on the CD3 of the super-deluxe edition of A Very British Synthesizer Group , although differs little from the final finished version.
